Ms. Medlicott,
Please tell us you will write more about the Ladies of Covington. My friends and all the Ladies of all the small towns across the world have been entranced by the characters you have created. They are so real, so like us, so much the best of ourselves. This most recent book is even more delightful than the rest. The books in this series just seem to get better and better. Amelia, Hannah and Grace and their families and friends show us humanity with all its frailties, yet with the best we can be. This book and the others are uplifting and challenge us to think.

I always look forward to another book about the Ladies of Covington...it's like having a second family and a chance to learn about human foibles and how people handle them, hope, learning, sharing, continuing 'growth'etc.

In the beginning, Hannah is preparing to marry Max shortly. They have a nice little wedding where they end up having the ceremony in church after all. Hannah and max had agreed at the beginning to only be married in name only so that she wouldn't have to pay taxes someday after Max was gone. But as things turn out, she is more in love with Max than she ever thought, and moves into his house.

Amelia is off doing her photography with Mike with the gallery in New York where she is the star of the exhibition with her works. She meets photography critic, Simon Blanche who has an instant attraction for her. But this time, Amelia can see right through him that he is not the man for her after he visits Covington and despises it.

Lucy Banks is still facing trial with Jerry McKorkle, the internet predator who committed some very serious crimes, one of which had been murdered. Francis Randall, the mean principal at school who hated Lucy to begin with was Jerry's mom and he never knew this until later. When a case was brought against Francine Randall for the discriminations at the school, someone was playing some vicious pranks on Russell and Emily. And when suddenly, Francine commits suicide, everything changes.

Emily and Russell are having problems with their marriage, and Emily ends up hating motherhood with her 2-year old daughter Melissa. She pawns all of the responsibilities off on Tyler her stepson, and Russell while she is all too busy with her law practice. In the end, the couple may get a divorce but will fight over who keeps Melissa.

After having a severe snowstorm, Lurina goes outside momentarily to bring in something for warming up. But in the process, she falls in the snow and thank goodness Wayne finds her and comes to the rescue before she dies from hypothermia. After this event, Lurina decides to sell off her big house and move herself into a retirment community and the ladies help her all they can. She finds that Old Man left her a big pile of money under the kitchen floor which leaves her a wealthy woman. But the sad story is that the house is destroyed in spite of Lurina's orders to preserve it.

Roger, Grace's son has moved to a new home in Salem North Carolina and is much happier than he has ever been. He now also has a new partner, Lenny. He and Grace get to be a little closer in this book, and reach more of an understanding with each other.

Hannah is about to be married to Max, but it is more of a business arrangement than an emotional event. Hannah is afraid of showing her true feelings to her prospective husband, in case he doesn't feel the same way about her. Grace seeks to balance her relationship with Bob so that she spends time with him, yet has time for her friendship with her housemates and her other friends. Amelia tries to juggle time between her life in Covington and her business in New York, and ponders an invitation to visit a friend in Maine. Add a troubled marriage and the trial of a local misfit, and the pages of this Covington book turn quickly. Joan Medlicott does her usual good job of exploring the lives and loves of her three main characters and surrounding them with interesting people and situations. This series can always be counted on for a good read.

I loved my latest visit to Covington. Life there is so peaceful and tranquil.

Hannah and Max tie the knot. An unexpected May snowstorm causes Lurina to be trapped out in the snow. She decides the time has come to move to a retirement home.

Many other adventures happen to this group of friends and family. If you have read the others in this series, you will love this book.

The reason I say exciting is because when my granddaughter saw this book, she was excited. After the book arrived at my house, she saw it and remembered it from school. I plan to read this book to my class at school. I had never read it before and I am very pleased with this book.

I really disliked this book. We have read others by the author that we've liked. While I know what his message was here, I really felt the "school will be okay" message was overwhelmed by the pages upon pages of things to worry about. My daughter is 2.5 and having trouble adjusting to preschool. This book seemed to concern her quite a bit. Another little boy I read it to asked me WHY did Wemberly worry so much. She worries about the way the playground equipment is put together, the crack in the wall at home, and so on. I think the book created more concern than it took away. A much better book (in my opinion), on this same topic is The Kissing Hand. My daughter has responded nicely to that one, and it seems to be helping. She referred to it today as she went off to school without tears (a big achievement around here)!

a great book for kids...

My five year old daughter and I read this book last night. I really liked how the author simply explained about anxiety. He puts into words what I couldn't and helped my daughter understand more about what she's feeling and why. I especially liked how Wemberley's parents were in the book.

I read Wemberly Worried. The reason I liked Wemberly Worried and would recommend it is because it is funny. It made me laugh and I almost got the hiccups. In the book I read about when Wemberly thought something would come out of the living room wall but nothing can come out of a wall.

Worried About Everything

Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes is an awesome book for young children. I think it is best for children that worry to much from the ages 4 to 7. It teaches them not to worry about everything. While reading the book, I think your children will love the drawings. I recommend this book to children that don't worry, as well because it's a fantastic book!

In the book, a young mouse named Wemberly is scared of everything! Her parents and grandmother worry that she worries to much! Then, when she gets to school she's scared. But then a surprise happens. She meets a mouse named Jewel and it turns out that she get as worried as much as Wemberly does. After they meet they start hanging out.

Before Wemberly knows it, she and the other mouse Jewel become the best of friends! So, what I think, other than just telling kids not to worry in the book, it tells you that you can always find someone that has things in common with you and you can become friends. So, if you know a child that gets easily worried or is scared about making friends you should read the book to them. I read this book quite a few times and never got tired of it! I hope it's the same the you too!

This book will make any young child happy. Even a kid that can't read will love it! You can just look at the pictures and know what it's about. Most people say not to judge a book by its cover. But this one you can because the pictures are just as great as the story!

So, now you know all of the reasons that I think Wemberly Worried is an awesome book. It has great drawings, a great story, and helps kids that worry to much or are scared to make new friends. It really helps. I hope you can enjoy the book as much as I did.

I have a daughter on the cusp of middle school, when the girls are just starting to get into the familiar patterns of female-to-female relational aggression so common at that stage. I ordered this book figuring perhaps it would be a good resource for her for dealing with some of these issues. I have read several books for adults that deal with these issues ("Reviving Ophelia," "Odd Girl Out," "Queen Bees and Wannabes" and such), but they tend to lack practical advice for the girls in the midst of these things.

This book is geared, instead, toward the girl facing this world on a daily basis. Overall, I think it's a decent resource, with a description of the behaviors a girl is likely to encounter, advice for how to deal with them, quizzes, examples of how other girl dealt with things...

There were, though, some things that keep me from giving this book a better rating. I think the suggestions were pretty simplistic, and while not as bad as simply saying "ignore them and eventually they'll leave them alone," they didn't really go into the REAL consequences of taking some of the recommended stands from the book. The author makes it sound as if once a girl rattles off a speech from the book, the "mean chicks" will leave her alone... which isn't quite the reality most of us have encountered. I'm not saying any of it is bad advice, I just think it paints a rosy picture of how quickly and easily these things work.

Another thing that bothered me was how much time was spent on excusing the offending girls' behaviors. The gossip should be embraced for her exceptional story telling skills, the bully should be pitied because she's probably being bullied at home, and so on. These may be true in some cases, but it's such a simple after school special way of looking at the world - get to the root of this other girl's issue and she'll suddenly be miss congeniality. Everything seems neatly wrapped up in a bow far too frequently in the book.

(The other annoyance was the pop culture references and attempts at slang which rapidly date an otherwise still contemporary book. It's hard enough for adult editors at magazines to keep up with this without sounding ridiculous to teens and adults... the shelf life of a book makes it all the more pronounced.)

All in all, I would recommend this as a conversation starter and to give some guidance to a girl who occasionally encounters rough behavior, but if you have - or are - a child who is truly bullied on a day-to-day basis, don't expect a life changing experience.

Erika tells it all n spiced it with her sense of humor!!!

"It couldn't be better written than this!!! A great book for teens, and a Plus for parents to get to understand their girls what they go through in their academic life; although we all go through bullying; however, time changes and new "Tricks" are often created. That's Erika I know of, happy! happy! happy! and trying to share her laughter, love and self confidence to all..I like the qoutations at the beginning of every chapter, it gives the "bullied" or "victim" a sense of courage in handling the "Mean Chicks""
Erika summarizes her "Power of Several" by recommending to the girls more books, magazines, and internet resources to help them get "through the day with Smarts and Style"..Well done, Erika!!!

Author Rasheed Clark did a good job merging the lives of Sista, a young lady dealing with self-esteem issues because of her weight; her sister Loretta who married a good guy, but disrespects him; their brother Eric, the one who cou ld not stay out of jail, and Brian, who was afraid to open his heart to receive love. Add to them Nikki, good friend of the family and Day (who was dealing with some family problems of his own), who are best friends with Sista and Nikki.

Stories I Wouldn't Tell Nobody but God opens with Sista dealing with her issues, the decisions she has made and the regrets she has to keep her company. While trying to come to terms with who she is, Sista's father passes away; she has a few bad relationships and she has to deal with her wayward sister and her youngest brother's indiscretions. By book's end, everyone who was a part of Sista's life revealed some secrets of their own which helped her to realize that help is as close as you sharing your problems or issues, even the ones you do not want anyone privy to but God. Coming to terms with problems and dealing with them is the real road to healing.

I found myself turning pages to find out what would happen next. The book is simply about the things we sometimes deal with in life with family and friends and the crazy things we do, but through it all we can find peace and happiness, even in the worst situations. I am actually looking forward to reading the sequel to this book. The author provided a sample chapter at the end of the book and it starts off so good, I was disappointed there was only a sample of what is to come.

This review has been revised as of 2/20/07 and the rating is actually four stars.

This book was referred to me by a friend that I ride the train with. I really enjoyed reading the book. I felt so many different emotions while reading the book. There were so many funny parts to it. I was really fond of Brian in the book. He seemed to be so compassionate and caring. I laughed really hard at the story he told Day about the girl he dated and why he stopped. For those who do read the book, the thing he did to that girl was wrong but it was so funny!!! I cried, I laughed, I got angry and that is what make this book so good. I am grateful that this book was referred to me. This book was also touching to me because I am currently dating someone in the Philadelphia area. I want to say thanks to the author for such an enjoyable read and to my train friend. Please everyone, take the time to read the book. I believe this is the first book written by this author and for a first book it is great. I have read many first time books that were not that great but this one exceeded them.

Admit it, we all have them. Me. And yes, you! We all have secrets. We've all done and/or said things we wouldn't tell anybody but God out of fear nobody would understand. Author Rasheed Clark gathered up a few, mixed them together and created his debut novel. In a "telling it like it is, hold no punches" manner, Rasheed chronicles the drama filled lives of four best friends, Brian, Sista, Nikki and Day. They don't realize how much they need each other until tragedy strikes. This novel will make you laugh, cry and sure enough agree with everything these characters have to say. Mr. Clark covers every angle by dealing with relatable issues of love, death, and every day going-ons.

After being rejected by a girl Jack Gammar asked to go to the prom senior prom; his best friends Natalie and Percy , place a personal advertisement in the online school newspaper. Since there is only a week before prom since so many girls responded they decide that Jack will at least have to go out with 24 girls; since there are only 7 days in a week thats how the plans name came about 24 girls in seven days or operation 24/7. Also, while this operation is in action a mysterious girl who goes by Fancypants leads hints and clues along the way of some major secrets.

My absolutly favorite part of this book is when Jack goes on a date with Laura Gillden and after he arrives home he gets a huge surprise. First he is drunk and then he sees these two drunk girls that are slowly driving by that say " Hey Jack can we both be your prom dates?". Also, while they are driving by across the topless chests they have written on one girl "C K" and on the other "J A" then the relize that they were backwards and it then says "JACK".

I love books with humor, romance, and a little mystery. Let me say that this book turely covers it all and by far is one of my absolute favorites. After reading how Jack dates the girls it really makes me think about what type of person I am and what person I will want to date. Also, how a relationship with someone can really effect someone's life. So if this book sounds like something you would read then I would highly recomend it!

Book Review- 24 girls in 7 days

The book 24 girls in 7 days is about a senior boy names Jack Grammar in high school who does not want to go to prom. He feels that prom is just a waste of time and since he can not go with the one girl he dreams of going with there is no reason at all. Then one day he reads the school newspaper and finds an add posted by his two best friends Percy and Natalie about him saying he needs a date to the prom and anyone who would like to accompany him may e-mail him. After what seemed to be forever Jack had gone through some hard times and then decides he doesn?t want to go to the prom but he then decides to go with this one girl who has had him on her mind all week.

24 girls in 7 days clearly had too many good parts to name one as just my favorite. However I have to narrow it down it would be when Jack finally finds out who Fancy Pants is. Not only did the book make Jack anxious but it made me anxious too. The whole book all I wanted to know was who Fancy Pants was and why was she giving Jack all this advice. However once Jack and I start getting clues and putting them together like pieces of a puzzle we both come to a conclusion of who this mysterious girl is. Not only was it a relief but it was a good feeling too, and it was a main part in the story.

Out of the many books like 24 girls in 7 days or similar books I have read this one would have to be up at the top of my list. First of all right from the beginning when it was explained in class I knew this would be an interesting book, just the way of the set-up. Another thing is that this book clearly kept me reading. So many things went on in the book all I wanted to do was to know what was going to happen. Although there were parts that gave some tips for boys about girls it still was a good book. Also, 24 girls in 7 days when hearing the title in class everyone wasn?t quite sure about the book but my teacher told us It wasn?t like that although it was a catchy title. All in all if you like those dating type movies, books, etc. or you just want a good book to read this is the perfect book.

24 Girls in 7 Days is the hilarious journey through the one week leading up to Jack Grammar's Senior prom. His two best friends put add in the school news paper for a prom date for Jack. The add starts off as a joke until girls start email him about the add.
My favorite part of the book (was very hard to pick) was the introduction to Jack, Percy, and Natalie. The author made them all quick witted and really funny. The intro to the characters makes you love them to the last pages. This book is hilarious with twists and turns that everyone will love. The characters are fresh and very real. I loved every page and was sorry to put it down.

24 girls in 7 days. It's every teenage boy's fantasy, or is it? Jack Grammar is just an average kid with straight A's and two best friends. As the end of his senior year creeps closer, so does prom and Jack is desperate for a date. He's never really had a girlfriend and is extremely shy, so after getting turned down by his longtime crush, his best friends Natalie and Percy decide to help him. Without Jack's knowledge, they post a personals add for him on the school's website, and surprisingly, they soon have over 100 responses to it. Percy and Natalie convince Jack to participate in a "Bachelor"-like competiton in which 24 girls are chosen to go on dates with him. There are only 7 days until prom, and Jack must choose one lucky girl to be his date. The adventure that follows is full of kisses, insults, icecream, and a whole lot of surprises.
24 Girls in 7 Days is by far one of the best books I have ever read. I literally did not put it down until I had finished the whole thing. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the storyline twisted. That's what turns a good story into a great one. This book is outright hilarious, and really shows how you can change your life for the better. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for love, because it goes to show that sometimes love can be found where you least expect it.

After their story, 200 girls showed up and they made list of 24 girls. Now Jack need to see all of them for 24 day. But then he finds out for girl who calls herself "Miss FancyPants" on internet, who send him warnings to be careful, but she still looks like she's in love with him. Who "Fancy Pants"? And what's with all warning that "FancyPants" sent to him?

I started reading this book today, about 2pm, and I finished it few moments ago. Other word, I couldn't put it down! It's not PERFECTLY written, it's not Sheakspir or something like that, but it's so much fun! Like first, this is one of rare teenage books that is written from BOY'S point of view, what's fun in 1st way. It's good that it written on way not to be vulgar, no matter it's 18-year-old-boy we're talking about. Jack is like other boys, but he has something special, his character is interesting as well as every girl that he met. Ever character we see in book has his behind, his own story, no matter does that character shows in all book or just on half of page. What I like most about character is that every character has own kind of clothes, look and wayhe/she acts like, that I just couldn't resist to think about this book as movie.

Story has some clichés, some lines we always see, but it's special, and it has that "something" that keeps your attention. It's not just silly teen-age book, it's much more than that - it goes throe ALL ways of teen-age life, all ways of teen-age thoughts. It has some mystery-story in it too, it's beset on it. OK, it's not mystery as Agatha Christy could write it, but it's just mystery what happens in life of one 18-year-old-boy who's looking for prom-date. Things that I liked best are that Bridget, Natalie's sister, is only 13 and so smart - as being 13 my self, I like the book was showed her feelings for Jack and her mind. Other thing I liked is Jack's feelings - he likes all girls he met, he doesn't want to hurt anyone of them. He can't chose which one he likes best - could that be Callie? Or shy, but still wild, Sarah? But Pamela is so elegant! And how about Natalie herself? And then "Miss FancyPants" shows up, and changes his mind completely!

Wonderful book! I really liked it! It's defiantly more then teen-age book, but still every girl (AND boy) should read it, if not to learn something, then for fun! Also, it could be make in fantastic movie! I loved this book vary much (no matter writing is not best), and I'm going to read it again!

Hey, on the cover and the year book, it have a picture of Hannah. .........So?........... Hannah have earrings! I thought she said she couldn't. And there is another problem, how come Abby and Hannah are wearing lipstick? Did Joyce White read the book before she design the cover?
Ok, forget about the cover. I think this is a great book, Hannah and Abby had found the perfect outfits for the fifth-grade graduation. Then Abby planned her summer. She was having a great time ....... until her mother's old collage friend came to visit........

P.S. If you want to see more, READ THE BOOK!

These are great CD's. My 4-year old daughter loves Frog and Toad. Someone gave her the book series for Christmas, which she now keeps in the car where we listen to Frog and Toad. The CD's don't have the beep to turn the pages (since they don't actually come with the books) but she's able to keep up. The voices are great. When I ordered this from Amazon it was missing 1 of the CD's but they were great with the exchange and replaced it immediatetly.

These stories are classics, very well read by the author Arnold Lobel. My four-year-old loves them and demands them over and over.

My three year old loves frog and toad, so I recently purchased the CD's for a trip. They were so entertaining to my son that he asked to listen to them nonstop. Sometimes he followed along in his book; sometimes he just listened. He can now "read" the stories verbatum, because he has listened to them so many times.

We love Frog and Toad stories

My son listens intently to this CD. His teacher in school plays these during nap time for those who choose not to sleep. He is very interested in all the stories even though he has heard them numerous times. We love this CD.

Great stories for smart kids.

The expression on the faces of my three and five year old as they puzzle, smile and nod over the adventures of Frog and Toad is something I think I'll carry with me for a long time. The kids are fully engaged with the audio CD, and can now follow along with the printed words when I read the same stories to them from the Frog and Toad books.

While Arnold Lobel has a calm, kid friendly reading voice, he never panders or talks down to the kids. I like that. I also appreciate the gentle, absurd wit that Lobel weaves into these stories. I'm not kidding when I say that I could see the skeleton of a Seinfeld plot in some of these stories. Makes it easier for an adult in the car to listen to, that's for sure.

Did you ever want to go to a place with your grandma just the two of you and you realize that someone who you don't know will be there too? This is exactly what happened to a girl named Abby in the book. Abby Hayes is ten years old has a little brother and two older twins. She loves the color purple, calendars, and her most prized possession is her journal and her pen. She loves going to school and her favorite subject is creative writing.
One day she gets home from school and finds a letter from her grandma asking her if she wants to go and spend spring break and her birthday with her over her house. She yells and at the same time jumps up and down saying, "I am going to Grandmas," and her parents look at her as if she was crazy. So the next thing she did was run to the kitchen where her mom and dad were. The next thing she knows her mom says no and dad says yes. Eventually she goes to her grandmas and when she gets there her grandma Abby is bored and asks what are they waiting for her grandma Said " a who not a what". What Abby replied? I never get it when my grandma says weird things Abby thought in her head
Wow when I picked up the book Abby Hayes I said to myself this is a really little book I can finish this book really fast. So I picked it up and went back to my seat and stared reading it and it got more and more interesting I could not put it down. Then when I arrived at home I picked up my backpack and opened it and starting reading it .I finished the book so I took out my notebook and started to write more notes when I looked down at my notes. I realized how awesome this book was and how it helped me. I thought in my head that this could happen in real life. Like in the book between the two cousins really come to life. In the book there is a scene where Abby and her cousin Cleo have a contest of who could unfinished packing the fastest. But their was a prize for the winner witch was that they could choose the movie that they wanted to see. But unexpectedly Cleo won the challenge. The book Abby Hayes at first might look boring but it is not it is really just about a girl and her time at her grandmas at spring break. I forgot to tell you that when she is at her grandmas she will spend her birthday there.
The Amazing Days of Abby Hayes is a wonderful book for us kids with problems. People who think that they are not love at all. It teaches us that everybody has a problem and that there is always a way of fixing it. All you really need to solve a problem are the people and the situation. It might look hard to do but it really isn't this teaches you that there is an answer for everything. People just need some time and a lot of patience to understand how to solve a problem.
So the reason why I choose to read the Amazing Days of Abby Hayes is because it is a good book. I found out that the book taught me that life should not be about a competition especially with your cousin. You should be who you are and be proud of that. So this is the reason why I choose this book and I encourage you to read this book.

THIS BOOK ROCKS! Grandma Emma invites Abby to her place. Oh, but Cleo Wayne is invited too! Cleo is not like Abby but they become partners to write a story together. They disagree to write together so they each write their own! I especially like the journal entries that Abby makes in the book - they are so awesome! I recommend this book for 2nd-5th grade.

I love this book.Especially the part where Cleo and Abby became friends. And I also like the part where they drew the hideous pictures, didn't I laugh till tears came out!The surprise party was awsome. In here Hong Kong, only little kids have parties, they also have it with their family --- not their friends. If you asked for a party, people will think that you're weird.

Stacey's Movie has some interesting points, and shows that all the BSC characters are not just the happy-go-lucky people they are made out to be. But at times the book could drag on, and I think its a little late in the series to all of the sudden have the character blurt out their emotions. It should have happened before the one hundred and thirtieth book in the series, don't you think? Also, I really didn't like the character Emily Bernstein. She could be too blunt, and, although she cut her interview short, she wouldn't do the same for anyone else, which I don't think is fair.

STARRING STACEY!

This is by far and away the best book featuring Stacey. I like the Stacey character and find her level and mature and very believable. Ms. Martin has a real gift for creating characters with staying power and her natural flair for dialog and conversation is phenomenal.

In this story, Stacey's school has a series of "short takes" classes. Professionals offer to teach a class in their area of expertise for part of a marking period. Movie making was one such class and Stacey eagerly agreed to participate in that one. She is grouped with a compatible bunch of kids and, armed with camera and notebooks, learn a lot about how their class mates really feel. My favorite parts were Claudia's confession about her strong distate for school and Emily Black, the school editor's adept dodging of any discussion of herself. Turning the question around to the asker is a very effective dodge and I loved that part. I also liked seeing a more mature version of Mary-Anne.

This one is one that I think most readers will enjoy. Ms. Martin is truly gifted in creating something with a lot of staying power.

Although I, personaly, am not a hug Stacey fan (she's part of the club, it wouldn't be quite the same without her, but my personal favorites are Mallory, Abby, and Kristy) This account of her school film project, in which she interviews other kids on what it's like to be a middle school student, is a... good read. I wouldn't call it wondrfull, exactly, but all these books kind of have a certin something that makes them enjoyable, especialy as you get to know everyone, and i did enjoy
reading the responces of the studens. I liked Alen Grey's interview inparticular. It was nice to see another side of him. After all, a sence of humor is a great thing, but it's nice to know that there's...more, to Alan.
All in all, Stacey's movie is a peice that I would certenly recommend.

I rate this book 5 stars. Once I read it I could not put it down. Stacey loves film-making and her school is having a Short Takes class with a real-life director to teach it. Stacey films all of her friends and Mary Anne says something on film that she wants Stacey to cut out. But will Stacey be a true friend? Or will she embarress Mary Anne in front of everyone?

This book is a fun read for pre-teen girls. My granddaughter is not the most anxious reader, so anything that makes her laugh or identify with the character encourages her to read on. She is enjoying this book.

Gary Paulsen is the award winning author behind such books as Brian's Hunt, Guts, and Hatchet. His books usually have boys as the main character, because, as he put it, "...I was a boy and I did boy things - still do, since I'm what might be called an old boy." But in Molly McGinty Has A Really Good Day, he steps out of his outdoor/wilderness writing to introduce us to a well-organized 6th grader named Molly.

He based this character on a girl who once told him about her three-ring binder similar to Molly's. For Molly however, this notebook is her lifeline. She needs it for everything in her school life, her social life, and her family life. And now it's gone!

The book follows Molly for one day... one crazy day. After she loses her notebook, she thinks her life has fallen apart. She gets a black eye, she has her eccentric grandmother go to school with her for Grandparent's Day, she gets a lunch tray dumped into her lap, and to top it off, she is embarrassed in front of Jake Dempsey, the cutest boy in school

Will Molly find her notebook? Will her grandmother ruin her social life at Our Lady of Mercy middle school? Will Jake Dempsey ever talk to her? Follow Molly on her crazy day (minus her notebook) in Molly McGinty Has A Really Good Day by Gary Paulsen!

Molly McGinty has lost her notebook. It contains everything she ever needs. There's a huge test tomorrow and she can't study. She finds out that her crazy grandma is coming to school with her. She gets a black eye and gets embarrassed in front of the cutest boy in the 6th grade. And that's only the beginning! What else will happen to her in the course of one school day?

I think this book is good for anyone over the age of seven to read.
