Easter Books

This book was absolutely excellent for my kids. Each daily Scripture reading is distilled down to something that my kids (ages 5 and 7) could understand. To help reinforce the meaning of the daily reading, each day had a interactive puzzle with it. Crossword, connect-the-dots, word search. My kids would ASK to read every night before we went to bed. I am looking forward to next year's edition. I also plan on buying it for each of my nephews to enjoy.

My daughter is 10 months old and this is her favorite book. She laughs out loud while petting the soft bunny nose on the front cover. The textured surfaces invite exploration from little fingers and the story is simple and fun. She likes it so much I'm purchasing "Touch the Kitty" by this author with the hope that it is just as big of a hit!

Whether your a student of middle east history or Bible culture and the teaching of the scriptures this VHS is an excellent purchase. There are two lessons in this tape. The first is a "one on one" session with Ray. His presentation begins in Jerusalem with a very thorough explanation of Jesus' passover celebration with his disciples. Many of the details in the gospels have been so "westernized" that we never grasped the expression of Jesus devotion to His earthly mission and love for each of us. No one will ever experience Easter/passover the same after watching this lesson.

Included with this special edition is the lesson, The Lamb of God, from the 3rd video set of the That The World May Know.

My husband and I happened up on this book in a little German shop near Cincinnati and I just fell in love with it. Our daughter is in college, but I bought this book for myself and for small visitors to our home. The illustrations are a combination of works from old children's books and postcards, all different styles, and the effect is simply charming. I highly recommend this wonderful book.

This is one of the most engrossing books I've found on this subject. If you're amused by Old English texts and runic inscriptions with lively translations, this book is a must-read. Two thumbs up! Way up! Delightful summer reading.

In my opinion this book is the best and touches children at all age levels. It associates what our society (easter bunny) symbolizes the meaning of easter is with the real (Jesus) meaning. It does not go into depth of the crucifixion but merely states that the bunny sees life that seems dead and yet produces something beautiful just like the man in the tomb he seen. The bunny then has this wonderful feeling and wants to share what he has seen so he gathers up the egg, the cocoon and beautiful flowers and leaves them at everyone's door step to remind them every year the amazing thing that happened to Jesus, he has risen, hallelujah!

Dr. Walker has crammed a lot of information about vulcanism,and its relationship to weather patterns and my favorite place in the world, Easter Island, into this little 90 page book. My only problem with it was that it much too short; I was ready for a lot more!
