Very nice coloring books. The pictures are pretty detailed but easy to color. Can use many different kinds of coloring tools. Each page can be removed to be made in a little picture. Really very realistic stained glass look for a coloring book. Cute pictures and can be used for nice decorations. This book is fun to color in and you get good results with little talent. Good for kids of all ages. A very good purchase, since it's so cheap. Is on Amazon Prime so no shipping costs. All different kinds of subjects available too.

Wonderful Easter Book

The illustrations in this cute Easter book depict a father rabbit ready to escort his daughter down the avenue (5th Avenue) in her new Easter Bonnet. Besides the darling pictures set to Irving Berlin's lovely lyrics, this book adds guitar and piano music at the end. This was especially helpful to me as I had forgotten some parts of the tune. What a great way to introduce children to a great song by a great composer. Would be a fantastic addition to an Easter basket. I would highly recommend this book.

Lovely use of the Gospel accounts of the Risen Lord. I would, however, recommend that you get the cd also. It is amazingly spiritual and hauntingly beautiful.

I have a great gratitude to Jesus when I think about all that He has done for me. He died for me on the cross so that I might have eternal life. Jesus is great! Jesus has won the victory! Jesus! Jesus!

Barton and Foy have produced one of the definitive sources on the Easter Uprising of 1916. This is an impartial and well-researched examination of the events and persons associated with this great event in Irish history. I can think of few other books that can rival Barton and Foy's Easter Rising for historical detail and broad scope- two things that are rarely done well together. For the history buff it is readable and interesting; the researcher will be pleased with the footnotes, detailed index and wonderful original testimony from participants that is not often found in the common sources. The authors do not seek to praise heroes, but to examine history- something they do quite well.

The Easter Rising : A Guide to Dublin in 1916 by Conor Kostick and Lorcan Collins is simply a great book. Well-researched, well-written, and with fantastic photographs, anyone interested in Irish history should own this book. Make it a point, too, to take their Easter Rising walking tour, which meets at the International Bar. It is a highlight of any trip to Dublin. Well done, lads!

This description was was done by the publisher...
MacDonald's first book told of the loss of the author's four siblings to the violence, poverty, and gangsterism of Boston's Irish-American ghetto. The question "How did you get out?" has haunted him ever since. This narrative of reinvention begins with the young MacDonald's first forays outside the soul-crushing walls of Southie's Old Colony housing project. In greater Boston and eventually New York's East Village, he becomes part of the club scene, providing a 1980s social history and a powerful glimpse of what punk music was for him: a lifesaving form of subversion and self-education. Yet family tragedies eventually draw him home again, to a devastating breakdown induced by trauma and guilt. He meets his father for the first time, as a corpse. Finally, two trips to Ireland, the first as an alienated young man, the second with his extraordinary "Ma," are healing journeys unlike any other in Irish-American literature.

This version of the Easter story is the best one I have read for the toddler/preschool age (2-4). Some are either too graphic and scary, meant for an older audience. Or they go the other way and are so soft that you can't really even tell what the story is about. You have to acknowledge the fact that Jesus died to understand the joy in his coming back. I have another version that refuses to use the word die and it makes it very hard to tell the story that way. This is beautiful, simple and on track.

Father Corapi's Easter Triduum series is inspiring. Father's message and delivery are driven by the Holy Spirit! I recommend these CD's to Catholics and all Christians who thirst for Truth. Father Corapi tells us that the Truth is not merely a something, but a Somebody, and His Name is Jesus Christ. The CD's are entertaining, inspiring, and you'll love them. Check out Fr.Corapi.com for more CD's and DVD's of his. These talks are some of his best!

Good tool for teaching the Easter story

I got this in my Easter basket one year as a child, and it was a really great book. It's written very simplistically, but still keeps all of the main elements from the Biblical story and puts them to rhyme so they are easy for children to remember. I'd recommend this book for children aged 5-9.
