Since I had long ago read this book, I bought its audio version only because Jim Dale is the reader. As he has done with the Harry Potter series, Mr. Dale makes each and every character in the story come alive, presenting you with a delightful mental vision to match the unique voices he provides. Obviously, the story itself is a timeless masterpiece, but Jim Dale is a master performer, both on stage, film, television, AND audio books. Thank you, Mr. Dale! I highly recommend this version of this classic adventure.

Prior to listening to this audio book, I thought it to be impossible to add anything to the brilliance and imagination of a Jules Verne story. I was mistaken. Jim Dale once again dazzles us with his character work as he joyfully guides us through this classic piece of literature. Anyone familiar with Dale's work on the Harry Potter series knows the kind of dimension he can add to a story, but here he breathes new life into an already wonderful 130 year old novel. A real delight to listen to.

This book is filled with fun and innovative lesson plans that will get kids excited about art. The open-ended projects provide a wide variety of ideas to challenge your students' creativity and maximize student learning.
I like the way every project is illustrated and offers follow-up activities.
This book is a definite asset to a teacher.

A sheer delight of language and art. Aska's Animals will delight the reader and the child. The illustrations are sucsessful in capturing the essence of each animal, and the textual art flows from page to page as sunlight drenches a darkened room. . I was amazed at the written and artistic images used, it almost seemed to good for a "Picture Book". If you want a terrifc book for a child this is it. . . Read it, it's good enough to have on a coffee table as a interest point, or to read as a bedtime story. You will be suprised at it's intense images. . Sheer briliance.

Not many books have yet been published of the tragic event's of 9/11. Of the few that I have read this one comes in First by a longshot. Mary Gow tells stories of the survivors and their struggle to escape the colapsing buildings, but also tails of those who were lost. The discriptions are incredible, and it is very easy for children 2 understand about the horrible events. Attack on America: The Day the Twin Towers Collapsed is a very understandable summary of what we know so far.

Since this is a children's book I'll keep it clean. Actually a classic, this is a dekliberately corny cash grab by the original sell out Martin Luther. A children's book advertised as serrious yoga. O.k., but the artwork should've been a lot better and marketed at adults. The poem itself isw a timeless masterpiece about the birth of Jesus, illustrated. If sung aloud, can be very serious and powerful yoga. My niece has a lot of children's books and my mom gets them they're not more than 5 dollars, but come on it's the reading equivalent of drinking corn syrup. Fix the artwork for adults please. Says this reviewer. I'm getting a copy for my two nieces for Christmas this year and got one for myself and will get one for my best friend and grandmother as well. This might be worth money some day.

My 2 year daughter loves this book. Great dolphin pictures and very appropriate for her age level.

My son LOVES this book! He received it as a gift when he was 3 months old. The first time I took it out, he was crying and I used the music to try and distract him - it worked like a charm! Within minutes, he was laughing, looking at the pictures, and grabbing at the flaps. This book became an essential item in my diaper bag - it always calmed him when he was upset or distracted him when he was bored during car rides, shoping trips, etc.
Now that he is 9 months old, he STILL loves it! He loves to lift the flaps himself and press the buttons to hear the sound effects.
This book is AWESOME - I have bought it for many baby shower gifts!

Another great Priddy Book. Bright, crisp photos on a white background. Colorful and varied book design with cute little gripper holes for baby hands. Introduces items common to many babies in their typical day. For example, playtime toys, mealtime foods, out and about (items like car, dog, flower), bath time, and bedtime. This one is the book of choice for our 8 month old. The pictures are coloful & not too complicated. The story lines are simple & fun to repeat during the day.
