Birthdays Books

We checked this book out from the library and liked it so much that now we're purchasing it. It is a charming story about an inflatable raft that falls off a truck; children, ducks, and water creatures play with it before it is restored to its rightful owner. The illustrations of Maryland's Eastern Shore are quite delightful.

This meeting was a good oportunity to discuss old and new problems in General Relativity. The book contains the lectures and the presentations gave in Salamanca, Spain 1998.

My 10 year old son has read this book at school, from their library. The first time, it was as a homework, and the next time, because he liked this book a lot. I bought it for him because he asked me to, and he wanted to have it available in the house, to refresh all the funny moments, which are a great quantity in this funny book. Considering how attracted he is all the time to his Nintendo DS, this is amazing.

She asks me to read it over and over again. I think she likes the idea of a daughter teaching her mother something, in this instance all about pet rats. We both enjoyed the story.

Delightfully written by Pamela Duncan Edwards, Rosie's Roses is an enjoyable alliterative picture book, which especially celebrates the letter "R". Rosie Racoon and her big brother Robert set out to deliver four roses tied with a rainbow ribbon to Aunt Ruth for her birthday. Delightful color illustrations by Henry Cole enhance and support the charming narration marking this lighthearted and recommended picture book for young readers.

I already had Francoise Read's "The Stamper's Bible" when I went looking for anything else she may have written. I purchased the Brilliant Birthdays book solely on her name. I was not disappointed. She creates designs that can be adapted to any stamp. I'm a stamping demonstrator, so her books become the premier part of my reference library.

I love reading RUFF because he is my favourite character. I like when he has seven birthdays . The best bit was when Ruff plays pass-the-parcel with the other toys. I enjoy playing the part of Ruff when I read the book with my Daddy.

We purchased this book after obtaining tickets to see the play. We received it just in time and the story has a heartfelt message about how twin bears and how one bear mistreats animals he encounters after running away. Even though he is not very nice to the animals, they still help him on his journey back home. The message about treating others as you would want to be treated and how even though we see things differently we can all work together. It is a great book and at the play we were able to meet the author and receive his autograph (thankfully we took our book along and it made a fantastic keepsake!)

I have cherished this book for more than 15 years. It is very accurate. If you can't get this book try others by Florence Campbell.

This type of astrology is based on assigning the 52 playing cards to a group of birthdays and planets in your chart. The only information needed to determine your card is the day of your birth. However, you can draw life charts and it also has a feature similar to the sun, moon and rising signs.

I can't say enough about this book, just buy it!

I have most of David Pelham's books and the kids really enjoy them. I think of the Sam's books as appealing especially to boys but all the kids want to look at the pop-ups. They're so cleverly done!
