Comprehensive summary of the history of St. Adrian Parish in Adrian, Nobles county, Minnesota. Compiled by historian Marion Kruger and published in 1977, it has photos of churches and parishioners. It is a wonderful source of information. Limited quantities were published, for a local market. Very scarce. It is included in the reference section of the Adrian Branch Library in Adrian, MN, and the Nobles County Library in Worthington, MN.

You take a little "Alex Mack." Throw in some "Anna to the Infinite Power." Add some good writing, and unique twists, and you have Amy. Marilyn Kaye does a good job of fleshing out her characters.

This series is timeless and when you or your child is ready for this series this is the best way to tackle it. The books are a fast read and if you do not have them all you may end-up like I did searching every store on line and used-book store waiting to find out what happens next.

After the first reading they will look good in the library as a set. You may eve go through them a second time.

If Mark Twain could have drawn like Amy Bates, this is the way he would have illustrated Tom Sawyer! The illustrations bring smiles to your face and delight to the heart. It makes you want to be a boy or girl again with Tom Sawyer as your friend (I hope). If the young reader catches a hold of this one, they will love reading for the rest of their life!

This is a very good book. When Patsy decides to have a suprise party for Albert, she asks all of Albert's friends to help out. The party is planned and everything is turned out great, everyone did what they were supposed to, but wait Patsy forget to give Albert the invitation. When Patsy relizes this they decided to move the party to Albert. When they are on thier way to bring the part to Albert, they relize that he has just left, and is on his way somewhere. They follow him, and everytime they are close Albert seems to have just left. They are so tired that they take a break at the apple orchard, and what happens. I guess you will have to read the book to find out. I would recommend this book for children ages 3-7.

I just love this collection of books. I have an 11 month old son, and he enjoys being read to. This book has colorful pictures and lots of action to keep the little one's attention. Plus, it's filled with characters he is already familiar with from the Nickelodean show. They will continue to be great learning tools as he grows, since they teach conservation and appreciation for nature.

My daughter is very excited with puzzles ... she just turned 3 years old and found this puzzle a little too easy. However, she enjoys playing with it over and over again. Because she can do it, she times herself as to how fast.

This was a charming story, beginning with the need to find ones special purpose in life and emphasizing the doubts we all can have regarding self-worth. Especially because this book is geared towards very small children, it was refreshing to find no violence or aggression, but just a soft, magical, sweet plot, where there is a happy ending for all characters in the story. This story actually comes full circle, with each character ultimately helping in fulfilling each other's dreams. The illustrations are, themselves, magical and beautifully done.

I just picked up a copy of Cole's "Truelove" and it reminded me of her Beastly Birthday book which was a favorite read for me and the boys I babysat for. The book has fun pop up and pull out bonus features. For example, in the story the birthday boy- to-be invites everyone and everything he meets to his party ("...I'm sure my mom won't mind."). A rhino is on the guest list. With this page comes a removable "can" of Rhinoderant. "Just spray at charging rhino and rhino will fall about laughing". The cows invited are, of course, singing cows and come with a cow songbook. Cole loves to illustrate with lots of little details and witty ones at that. She puts her special touch on every page. (And hey, kids! This is IN ADDITION to all the little surprises like the two just mentioned. Bonus fun!)
Now remember that I havent read this book in years (the boys are getting older...sigh) but still I remember it fondly. It is so fun to share this book! Get really silly with it and kids will want to hear it over and over whether it's their birthday or unbirthday. Oh, the singing cow opera number ("moo moo bellisimo, vacca carrigio...")! The heavy metal band! (Read this page in your best Ozzy Osbourne Brit accent.) Robbers even! The grand finale pop-up with all the special guests! How could anyone NOT love this? It'd be a great b-day gift for any kid or fun loving grownup you know! I see now that it's out of print, though. :( I'd best buy me a copy for my collection of favorites before they're completely unavailable!

A lovely glossy book, beautifully written and bursting with colourful illustrations on every page. My daughter loves it and giggles with glee as she minics baby bear's hiccups! (She has now perfected the art of standing on one leg whilst closing one eye and patting her tummy!) This book is a true delight - something I actually look forward to reading at the end of a busy day. We both particularly enjoy the little 'picture gallery' at the beginning and end of the book, which my daughter loves pointing to, as she names the objects that appear throughout the book. A must for every child's bookshelf!
