Everything else(Well, nearly everything else) is in the kit. VERY nice to have. For example, if you forgot to get some birthday card for your friend, this kit is very helpful! This is a lovely story which teaches the brotherhood of all races without being didactic or heavyhanded. It is a doll's story, and is told from her point of view. First, a financially struggling white mother sacrifices to buy the white Dolly for her daughter; later, the daughter paints Dolly brown and gives her to an African-American friend; and finally Dolly is sold to an antiques dealer, through whom she is reunited with her now-grown original owner. Dolly's story is interspersed with details about the struggles and joys of the two families: black lung disease, poverty, segregation, discrimination; and playtime, birthdays, holidays, and the progress made by the Civil Rights Movement.

My older daughter (now 36) had a copy of this that we loved. I don't know where it came from but it was wonderful. Bird wants to make sure that his friends remember his birthday, and his friends come through in a big way. The rhymes are great and the story is really about a happy birthday. This book is about friends and celebration.

Slow and quite, a great book to put your little ones to sleep with. My three year old son loves to hear it! He curls up with his favorite blanket and falls right to sleep. An easy read. Highly recommend this book for any child.

Good reference book on personality.

This title is a great choice if you want to have a quick access to a person's prominent character traits.

The day of birth has a great influence regarding the pursuit of the life path's lessons, and it also gives great guidance in terms of natural inclinations and further talents.

You will find accurate personality descriptions for everyday of the month; and the author makes the distinction between men and women holding the same birthday. For what I infer from the content of each personality profile, Bunker bases her insights on the final simplified number (e.g. birthday 28 would equal the number 1), as well as on the elements of the compound number-for the same example, you would have a 1, and the cipher zero, which magnifies the vibrations of 1.

This book never ceases to amaze me with its accuracy.

I loved this book!!If you've seen the movie little women or read the book, this is a MUST!!. Susan Beth Pfeffer must have read and watched little women this relates to there life so much! My favorite was beths when she didnt want her birthday celebrated. It related to the book because she is shy and hated when they (her sisters) marched in with presents and gave her a kiss. If you have read this or are thinking about reading this and havent read little women or watched the movie you should. I can say that you will absoultly LOVE this book.

This is a wonderful Portraits of Little Women book. It has a tenth birthday story for each girl. Meg's wish is to be alone with her parents, but is that really her birthday wish after all? Jo's wish is to become the perfect proper young lady, for her family. Beth's wish is for everyone to act as if it is any other day, but Amy wishes for Beth to have a party. Amy's wish is to have a party and invite some of her friends from school, but when Father has to have a meeting about the war does Amy still have her party? This is a great addition to any book collection or any person who likes Little Women.

What I thought of "Birthday Wishes"

This book was very funny and creative. I enjoyed reading it because I liked seeing the ways the brother and sister could use their wishes against eachother. I thought it was funny that they were having war from the time they were born to the time they were old and wrinkled. I think it was a very good book and enjoyed reading it.

Very Creative Book!!

Do/did you encourage your kids to watch Callou (the cartoon), and view life through a mature, sober moral lense? ..Yes? Well, then you will hate this book.
But if you can goof off, let your hair down a little, and just be silly, you'll be WiLdLy entertained! :)

"Birthday Wishes" is creative, truly artistic & just plain fun!
I bought it for my boys (ages 8-12) & they loved it. The 8 & the 12-yr.old said, "Well, it's not how brother & sister ideally should be toward each other, but [we] liked it because it's SO creative & funny." The plot is about a brother & sister that come up with all sorts of imaginative "bad things" to wish upon each other, year after year. The punchy rhyming storyline & the awesome illustrations make it well worth your time.
It's not too over-the-top, or mean. It's a little edgy, but just enough to thrill your kids & leaving their imaginations spinning long after the book is finished.

Very cute book!

This book is very cute. Obviously, it's about Bob's birthday but instead of acknowledging it, Wendy has everyone act like they don't know it's his birthday so she can throw a surprise party for him that evening. Bob goes about his day working, and getting a little sad and disgruntled that everyone seems to have forgotten his birthday. Wendy even goes to the trouble of getting the mail before Bob can so she can hide all his birthday cards. When he returns back to the yard from a long day (he even has a bunch of accidents. Just wasn't his day!), he is surprised with two cakes, many birthday cards, and presents. Dizzy even made him a cement birthday cake! It's quite cute and a nice way to teach kids to remember others' birthdays. We read it all the time in our house and we highly recommend it!

This show is the best thing that people could let their children watch. My 21 month old loves it, and so do I. I catch myself still watching it after he goes on to something else, or to sleep. I love the way that they put the children's everyday adventures into something that is going on with them. Like Muck thinking that Scoop was being hard on him one day, that is just like the trials that I went through as a child, and I know that children now days go through more than I did. This is definately a 5 star show and I'd recommend it to anyone with children, young or old.

I received The Book of Birthday Letters and after 5 minutes of looking through it I had a pen in my hand! I've tried to keep "baby books" and "journals" but could never quite keep up with them. I'm sorry to have lost so many memories along the way. This book idea is just the way to keep hold of all the wonderful feelings during a child's growing years. My youngest just celebrated his first birthday, so this book will become a treasure. And even though my oldest is about to turn 13 I predict that this book can cover many beautiful and important thoughts over the next few years.

This book, filled with your own thoughts and feelings, will be worth its weight in gold.

This book was given to me as a gift and it is one that I will treasure forever. Hopefully it will become as important to my child in the future when he reads all that his dad and I thought about with each passing year. This is a MUST HAVE book for new parents or grandparents! The book is put together beautifully, it is organized in such a way that it will help even the parent who does not like to write organize their thoughts! The introduction is a great section to help any parent get started and then the follwing pages are a beautiful journal. On the bottom of each page is a little thought... Each page is lined with the heading Happy _ Birthday. There are 3 pages that a parent can fill and these are followed by 1 page to describe the child's birthday party. My intention will be to fill these pages with pictures since we do not always have birthday parties.... The last section is for grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc to include their wishes. I know I will be purchasing quite a few of these books to give as gifts!
