evidently knows her stuff.from start to finish the book has got everything
on this topic covered.for me the all important chapter is chapter four
which actually shows you the 'how to'.this book is a goldmine for this particular subject.it's got everything,so go for it.

I have always had a thing for angels and recently have been studying the "Kabbalah". This book is based on the 72 names of God combined with astrological concepts. I found it very interesting how the two connect. I also found it intriguing how it may help point one in the right direction as far as one's life purpose. This book is for the open minded reader. If you are on a spiritual quest, this may be one to add to your library. I also recommend "The Way" by Michael Berg.

This book deals with your birthdate and the correlation to a deck of playing cards. I was amazed at how accurate they pegged me. I was so fascinated at how without knowing me, this book could give me so many insightful looks into the positive and negative (unfortunately) traits of my personality and others. This is a MUST for every coffee table in America. You really need to get a look at the information in this book!

I first found out about the Cards of Illumination from a radio broadcast! The two authors were interviewed and explained how the sytem works clearly and simply. It was fun. The calls into the show were hilarious, because all the callers were really "pegged"! Everyone who called in was amazed, including me! Your birthdate corresponds to a card in a regular deck of cards. I was flabbergasted at how accurately I was described. Anyway, I recommend the book! It is a lot of fun, and easy to use. You can look up your friends as well as romantic interests to check for compatibility. The authors explain the system clearly and it is easy to follow and understand.

After the children I work with enjoyed the first mystery in this series, The Afternoon Auction, so much, I knew I had to get them the second book in the series. The kids actually seemed to enjoy this one more than a first, and Iggy is quickly rising to be one of their favorite characters of all of the books they read. I'm sure that the more they read of this series the more obsessed they'll become. Really, these are can't miss tales!!

This second book in the Iggy and Igor series is almost even better than the first. My cousin loves solving the clock mystery with Iggy so much he does it twice a week! We can't wait for the rest of the series!!!

Catchy rhymes and colorful illustrations celebrate one of the most memorable events in a child's life - the birthday. Author Dandi Daley Mackall covers every aspect, from parades to pointy hats to party games to presents to, most importantly...prayer. In my quest for children's books that offer quality reading featuring multicultural characters, I was pleased to find Birthday Blessings has both. Four adorable children star in the Little Blessings series: a Caucasian boy, a Caucasian girl, an African-American boy, and an Asian-American girl. Illustrator Elena Kucharik captures their exuberance in sparkling watercolor. We received this durable board book for a third birthday gift. My daughter soon memorized the verses and now "reads" it to her younger sister. Both girls love to act out their favorite parts. A later birthday produced another inspiring book from this series called Rain or Shine, which I also recommend.

Birthday Blessings does a wonderful job teaching children how to be excited about their birthdays and at the same time giving thanks to God. The children in the book describe the party, cake, presents, etc. My 21 month old son loves looking at the pictures and talking about what the children are doing. For older children the book allows them to get excited about the birthday celebration, and also reminds them that the best gifts are from God, and they are free. This is a GREAT birthday present for children of all ages.

My 1992 copy of The Birthday Book is always sitting on my couch table for all to view. It is invaluable in keeping me updated as to who's birthday or anniversary is next. With our big family, this is a must! It also serves as a lovely conversation piece.

Beautiful photos, wonderful quotes and just enough room to keep memories alive on any special day. Romantic throughout. A keepsake you'll look at again and again. But, I wish Neil Diamond's January 24, 1941 birthday as listed... speaking of romantic!

I happened to pick up this little gem at a used book store a few years back. Since then I've made three or four of the cakes in here ... every one has been a big hit! The recipes are pretty straight-forward and easy to follow, if fairly involved and/or lengthy and the illustrations are charming. Best of all, the results have been met with rave reviews for taste and presentation.

This book is WONDERFUL! Every cake looks irresistible, the recipes are easy to follow, and they turn out beautifully. Plus the book just looks fun and exciting, i love the artwork. I would HIGHLY recommend this book.

Once again, Debra Frasier has combined a vibrant portrayal of a child's sense of magical possibility with useful and insightful lessons about our amazing world. Like On the Day You Were Born, this book reminds young readers that their lives are part of the grand and important movements of the universe. And like Miss Alaineus, this book teaches us all that fun and insight are often a matter of how you see things. Hats off to Debra Frasier for another wonderful book.

A Birthday Cake Is No Ordinary Cake is a cake recipe, science lesson, appealing children's book, and perfect birthday gift all rolled into one. I really enjoyed it. Debra Frasier's colorful illustrations seem to jump right off the page. The book unfolds as an interactive cake recipe listing all the things that you will need to collect in one year to make a birthday cake, including the first sunrise after your birthday and continuing through an entire year of natural phenomenon. Children learn about the seasons and about the earth's rotation around the sun while celebrating all the fun of birthdays and cakes. Kids love this book, and best of all it's perfect for bringing to birthday parties.

I THOUGHT IT WAS A VERY CUTE BOOK. SOME OF THE RECIPES MAKE YOU WONDER IF THEY ARE FOR DOGS. OVERALL I ENJOYED IT ALONG WITH THE TRIVIA, POEMS AND FACTS.

These cards are so sweet! I like the good quality paper and the fact that they're blank inside. The cakes are very pretty and would suit anyone over the age of 12. This boxed set is more elegant than many of the overpriced Hallmark cards out there. I do love Hallmark for Christmas but find their birthday selection bland. Luckily this set fills the void.

I generally dislike boxed sets of birthday cards...they are usually cheap and tacky. However, this set of boxed cards is a totally different story...they are very beautiful; you get 20 cards printed on sturdy cardstock; 5 different cakes repeated 4 times. The five cakes chosen from the book "Birthday Cakes" are very nice ones. The cakes are varied so that you would find one of these nice for a child, a man, a woman, and even that person that is so difficult to buy a card for! The card for that difficult person I would feel is the chocolate cake card...who wouldn't like a nice chocolate cake like that? What I also love about these cards is that they are blank, and so I can write my own message, poem, etc. inside, to make it fit just for that special person. Buying single birthday cards these days is usually very expensive and it is often hard to find time to make them. So this boxed set can be the answer for you, as they come to be only a bit over 60 cents per card, well actually about 50 cents a card if you buy them here on Amazon! Nice set to have on hand for emergency birthdays that might pop up in your life too. I highly recommend them.

My son is learning to read and this book and a lot of Ms. Hillert's books are great for him. He loves to read and the Birthday Car is a great book. Our school carries a lot of her titles.

I am so thrilled that my son who is learning to read was entertained by this book enough to pick it up and "practice" by himself. The text focuses on basic words that he could identify (includes numbers and colors) and also on words he could "sound out". He took great pride in reading it to his little sister too.
