When she was in the third grade my older sister bought a little book of christmas stories with the nickles she had saved by not having milk at break time. "Christmas Every Day" is our favorite story from this carefully preserved little book. Our mother still reads "Christmas Every Day" every year for her grandchildren. Though we are all grown we still enjoy the story too. Even my oldest sister's hyper-active 7 year old sit's quietly for his grandma's reading of "Christmas Every Day."

It was a great relief for me to find that Amazon.com had "Christmas Every Day" because the little book my sister brought home in the early 1960's is quickly becoming too fragile to handle. Thanks Amazon.com, someday I hope to read "Christmas Every Day" to my grandchildren.

Wilma is getting tired of planting sunflowers and petunias in her garden. So, she's looking around for a change. When she goes out to cut down her annual Christmas tree, Wilma knows what she's going to grow in her garden: Christmas trees. So, she places an order for sixty-two dozen balsam seedlings, and gathers string, shovels, and her five-year-old neighbor, Parker.

Year after year, Wilma and Parker nurture their trees, keeping careful count of how many perish to what causes, and how many grow up to be Christmas trees.

Christmas Farm doesn't really go into detail about what it is like to own and operate a Christmas tree farm, but it does cover a few of the things they do to care for trees, how long they have to grow, and what might kill the trees.

With Christmas quickly approaching, Christmas Farm is definitely a book you'll want to pick up for your favorite three- to seven-year-old. My three-year-old and my six-year-old both enjoyed this book, though it held the six-year-old's attention a little better.

The illustrations are beautiful, and the text is interesting. Even grown-ups would enjoy reading this book to learn a little about where their Christmas trees might come from.

This a cute story about Polar Bear & his friend Mouse who live at the North Pole. Polar Bear is always happy and helps everyone, Santa, Mrs. Claus, the elves, reindeer and other North Pole residents! When Santa's sleigh gets stuck Polar Bear goes comes to help, but he can't budge the sleigh until he calls his friend Mouse and everyone else to help and the sleigh is finally moves and is unstuck.

The illustrations are beautiful and this is very cute book on how being helpful is nice, that even the smallest can make a difference as well a friendship between a Polar Bear and Mouse is special.

THIS IS A VERY SIMPLE SNOWMAN STORY & IT TURNS OUT NICE & CHEERY & THERE ANIT NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. THE BOYS LIKED SEEING THE PICTURES OF HOW THEY WERE DIFFERENT SIZES & THE DIFFERENT STYLE THINGS THEY WORE.
MADE THEM WISH THEY COULD HAVE RAN OUT & MADE A FEW OF THEIR OWN!!!

After borrowing this book from the library I knew I had to own it! The illustrations are colorful, precise and engaging. The projects include a nice variety from traditional crafts to cooking, playtime activities and wildlife. Some are quite quick to complete and others are great for taking your time. Perfect for many ages, including very young children. Great job! Well worth your money.

My favorite thing about this coloring book is that it covers the Christmas story from the Bible and many of the family traditions that we celebrate. It has fun coloring pages, activites, and lick-and-stick stickers.

Mad Libs are HILARIOUS-- this collection will truly get you in the X-mas Spirit!

Having received this book personally from Charlemae Rollins when I was 4 or 5 years old, I have treasured the stories, poems, and recipes for as long as I can remember. Through her stories, recipes, and first person narrative Ms. Rollins provides us all with a glimpse of the significance of the Christmas season to our slave ancestors, and the tiny bit of joy they were able to enjoy each year, if only for a short time. More contemporary stories and poems helped round out the happiness and pain of the holiday season as experienced in the African American community. For my part, my favorite story (for the past 40 years) is "How Come Christmas," a folk tale that beautifully integrates the presence of Santa into the birth of Christ in a way that makes perfect sense to children, and is charming to adults.

Thank goodness this book is still available! If you are interested in Christmas stories, traditions, food, etc. it is a MUST READ. Additionally, it adds an important dimension to American History and traditions from an African American perspective.

I'm the type of person who will not by a childrens book if I don't like it visually no matter how good the story is. I got both with this. Very sweet little story with a happy ending and the illustrations are like eye-candy to me!

Excellent book - full of neat ideas for Christmas from many of the Homecoming friends.
